It's not about the nail!

Most of the time, in our relationship with others, especially in couple relationships, we try to solve the problems by focusing on the content of them; however, we couldn't understand the underlying need of the person who is facing the problem. Most of the time we can help the person much easier than solving his problem by only empathic listening. Empathic listening can work for problems in relationships too. On the condition that we can realize the core underlying needs of the person. Maybe he is just looking for a cool listener not a solver of his problem. Exactly like the video!
